Outdoor Games

Cricket (Practice Pitch & Ground)

Cricket at PPS is guided by expert coaches who train students in both technical mastery and sports ethics. The game develops team spirit, resilience, hand–eye coordination, and endurance. Batting builds precision and timing; bowling develops focus, rhythm, and discipline; fielding enhances agility and alertness. Participation in inter-house and inter-school tournaments boosts confidence, leadership, and responsibility, nurturing future sports leaders.

Football

Football is one of the most dynamic outdoor sports at PPS, demanding speed, stamina, coordination, and tactical intelligence. Students learn to collaborate, strategize, and make quick decisions under pressure. The sport promotes cardiovascular fitness, balance, and flexibility, while instilling leadership qualities, resilience, and inclusivity, as each role on the field contributes to team success.

Basketball

With professional courts, PPS encourages students to master dribbling, shooting, passing, and defensive skills. Basketball enhances strength, coordination, balance, and aerobic fitness. More importantly, it teaches cooperation, adaptability, and communication in a fast-paced environment. Students gain confidence by participating in tournaments and league-style matches, learning to handle both victory and defeat with grace.

Volleyball

Volleyball sessions at PPS emphasize team collaboration, synchronization, and quick reflexes. The game builds upper body strength, stamina, and agility while sharpening focus, timing, and cooperative play. It nurtures trust and collective responsibility, as every player contributes to the success of the team. Students also learn the importance of resilience and adaptability during high-pressure matches.

Badminton

Badminton is promoted as both a recreational and competitive sport. It enhances stamina, speed, agility, flexibility, and motor coordination. Students develop strategic thinking, anticipation, and discipline, along with respect for rules and fair play. As a sport that can be played in singles or doubles, it cultivates independence as well as teamwork, making it a versatile and much-loved game at PPS.

Athletics (Track & Field)

Athletics is the foundation of physical fitness. PPS provides opportunities in sprints, relays, long jump, high jump, shot put, and other track events. Athletics develops speed, endurance, muscular strength, perseverance, and focus. Students gain self-discipline, time management, and goal-setting abilities through training. Participation in athletics instills a competitive spirit, confidence, and resilience, helping students channel energy productively.

Taekwondo (Martial Arts)

Taekwondo training at PPS is designed to develop both physical fitness and mental strength. It enhances flexibility, stamina, posture, and coordination while cultivating self-defense skills and confidence. Beyond physical benefits, Taekwondo builds discipline, respect, perseverance, and emotional control. Regular practice empowers students to stay calm under pressure, show respect towards others, and face challenges with determination.
